Koh Chang has no airport and no bridge: from Bangkok you drive about 5 hours to Ao Thammachat pier at Laem Ngop (Trat) and cross on the car ferry, 25–35 minutes, ฿90 per adult, cash. The ferry runs about 06:30–18:30 and, since April 2026, leaves when full between the first and last sailing. The older Centrepoint ferry no longer runs. Which pier do Koh Chang ferries leave from, and when is the last one?
From Ao Thammachat on the mainland near Trat to Ao Sapparot on the island; the old Centrepoint – Dan Kao ferry no longer runs. Boats run 06:30–18:30 in both directions, and since April 2026 they leave when full between the first and last sailing — at quiet times you may wait.

Can I fly to Koh Chang?
Not directly. Bangkok Airways flies Suvarnabhumi → Trat three times a day (about 1 hour, from about ฿2,800 one way); from Trat airport a shared minibus with the ferry costs about ฿1,000. Our car from Trat airport to the pier is a 20-minute ride.

Will I make the last ferry if I land at Suvarnabhumi in the afternoon?
The drive from Suvarnabhumi is about 4 h 30, so flights landing after about 13:00 usually miss the last ferry. Then we take you to a Trat hotel or start the next morning — the price is the same ($230 per car).
