The road
Day 1: Chiang Mai → Chiang Rai (hot springs, White Temple, Blue Temple). Day 2: Golden Triangle, Chiang Saen, Doi Mae Salong. Day 3: across the hills via Tha Ton and Fang to Pai (a long, scenic day). Day 4: Pai Canyon and the memorial bridge, then Route 1095 back to Chiang Mai.
